Multi-stage Seismic Isolation Bearing
Overview
Incorporating seismic isolation principles, the fixed or unidirectional sliding bearing's shear keys are designed to fracture during seismic events, activating the sliding mechanism to isolate seismic energy transmission to the superstructure, thereby mitigating earthquake damage
Scope of Applications
Suitable for various bridge types in seismic zones with intensity VII or below.
-
>100MNvertical load capacity
-
>400mm/sultimate shear peak velocity
Features
-
High Load Capacity & Superior Performance
Excellent energy dissipation, exceptional bearing capacity, strong durability, and high cost-effectiveness.

Multi-stage Seismic Isolation Bearings
Multi-stage seismic isolation spherical/pot bearings (fixed, unidirectional and bidirectional types) feature an enhanced design with shear pins and limit plates added to conventional bearing components. During earthquakes, the shear pins fracture to activate isolation by releasing displacement and blocking energy transfer to the superstructure, while remaining repairable at low cost through replaceable shear elements post-event.
